As we enjoy the warmer days of May, it’s easy to forget just how challenging the winter months can be. But looking back at the seasons behind us reminds us of why we do what we do at Sweet Oak Collaborative, and how incredible our community is when we all pull together.
Recently, we’ve been reflecting on our winter warming center initiative. When the freezing temperatures hit, our team and a dedicated network of volunteers stepped up to ensure our neighbors had a safe, warm, and welcoming place to seek shelter. It was an intense, fast-moving effort, but seeing the community come together to provide safety and comfort during a critical time is something we won’t soon forget.
